Disney Junior & Disneynature Unveil It’s UnBungalievable

BURBANK: Disney Junior and Disneynature are premiering the short-form series It’s UnBungalievable, an extension of the animated series The Lion Guard, which continues the story of the classic movie The Lion King.

It’s UnBungalievable is a nature show hosted by The Lion Guard animated characters Bunga the honey badger and Ono the egret. It will debut tomorrow, January 9, at 9:52 a.m. Each episode shares fun facts about animals and their habitats and features live-action wildlife footage from Disneynature. Bunga and Ono will highlight two animals per episode, making comparisons in categories such as who’s quicker?, who has better hair? and who’s hungrier?

It’s UnBungalievable is executive produced by Ford Riley and is a production of Disney Television Animation and 7ate9 Entertainment in association with Disneynature. Launched in 2008, Disneynature brings the world’s top nature filmmakers together to share a variety of wildlife stories with audiences everywhere.

The Lion Guard series, meanwhile, will premiere on Disney Channel on Friday, January 15, at 9:30 a.m. It tells the story of Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, and his animal friends, who are tasked with protecting the Pride Lands. Kion and the gang were first introduced in November when Disney Channel premiered the animated TV movie The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar.
