Disney Channel Lines Up New Comedy Series

BURBANK: Disney Channel has ordered Bizaardvark, a comedy series created by Kyle Stegina and Josh Lehrman, who participated in the network's inaugural Storytellers program.

Bizaardvark will follow the adventures of Paige and Frankie, two 13-year-old best friends who write funny songs and create music videos for their online channel. The show stars newcomers Olivia Rodrigo and Madison Hu. Production will begin early next year for a summer 2016 debut.

The pilot episode of Bizaardvark will be executive produced by Marc Warren (Full House), with Eric Friedman (Austin & Ally) serving as exec producer and showrunner. Stegina and Lehrman are co-executive producers.
