DHX Media Alum Joins Spin Master

Spin Master Entertainment has appointed Thom Chapman as its senior director of sales and distribution.

Chapman will have direct responsibility for creating and managing global exploitation strategies for Spin Master’s entertainment content across linear, nonlinear and emerging platforms. Chapman joins Spin Master from DHX Media where he directed the company’s content expansion strategy for Asia.

In his new role at Spin Master, Chapman will work closely with Jennifer Dodge, the executive VP of Spin Master Entertainment, and with Spin Master’s business units for girls, preschool, boys and robotics to secure premium global placement for its kids’ content. He will report to Porsha Gauthier, the VP of operations and legal, who oversees Spin Master Entertainment’s business affairs and operations.

Chapman has more than 15 years of experience and has worked with well-recognized children’s properties such as Peanuts, Bob the Builder, Strawberry Shortcake and Teletubbies.
