Dandelooo has signed a distribution deal with TeamTO for the preschool comedy series What’s Up Eesha?

Aimed at 4- to 6-year-olds, the 52×11-minute What’s Up Eesha? was developed by TeamTO in association with France Télévisions and directed by Loic Espuche. The 3D series is based on the original characters and narrative world created by author Jean Gourounas.

The storylines were adapted from Gourounas’s series of children’s books published by L’Atelier du Poisson Soluble.

Dandelooo will handle the worldwide rights, excluding French-speaking Europe, Italian-speaking Europe (including Switzerland), China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, which will remain with TeamTO.

Emmanuèle Pétry, producer and head of international at Dandelooo, commented: “Eesha is one of the most sensitive and funny penguin girls I’ve ever met. We are extremely honored that our longtime friends at TeamTO have chosen Dandelooo as their global distributor. Thanks to the wonderful talent of Loic Espuche, we believe this new enchanting series will become a huge hit.”

Corinne Kouper, senior VP of development and production at TeamTO, added: “I especially love how this show highlights the importance of creativity, patience and flexibility in the face of change—as well as its amazingly colorful and fun animation. And, of course, we are beyond happy that Dandelooo will be introducing Eesha to the world at MIPCOM.”
