Dandelooo Picks Up Hungry Bear Tales to the Pole!

Dandelooo has acquired the half-hour adventure comedy special Hungry Bear Tales to the Pole! from Czech production company Bionaut.

Loosely based on the books by Zbynek Cernik, the special follows the adventures of two very hungry bear friends, Ned and Mishka, as they learn not to be afraid to go out into the world and make new friends.

The new story adds to the 26×7-minute series and brand about two bears who share a cozy house in the forest. Most of their adventures revolve around finding different ways to get something delicious to eat with as little effort as possible. Their plans do not always go the way they thought they would, but their adventures always have happy endings.

Dandelooo holds exclusive worldwide television and theatrical distribution rights to the 2D special, which is directed by Katerina Karhankova, who created it with Alexandra Majova.

Hungry Bears to the Pole! has already been presold to France Télévisions, ARTE EDITIONS, DR (Denmark), RTVS (Slovenia), Stöð 2 (Iceland) and Yle (Finland). Gébéka Films will release the special in cinemas during the 2024 Christmas season.
