Breakthrough Taps Head of Family Entertainment

TORONTO: Suzanne Wilson, a former TVO exec, has returned to Breakthrough Entertainment as the company’s VP of family entertainment.

In her new role, Wilson will report to Joan Lambur, executive VP of family entertainment and executive producer at Breakthrough. Wilson previously led the acquisitions of children’s media content at TVO for more than three years. Prior to that, she served as Breakthrough’s senior administrator of business affairs from 2010 to 2013.

Throughout her career, Wilson has worked for such companies as BBC Worldwide, Portfolio Entertainment, The itsy bitsy Entertainment Company, Lambur & Associates and the Chocolate Liberation Front. She has held a number of positions spanning production, marketing and business affairs of children’s entertainment properties, from curriculum development to international distribution to licensing and merchandising.
