Atlantyca Inks New Deals for Berry Bees

Atlantyca Entertainment has secured a number of new broadcast deals for its animated series Berry Bees.

The first season of the series has been sold to VRT (Belgium) for the channel Ketnet; AMC Networks International–Central and Northern Europe (Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia) for the Minimax channel; and MINIKA (Turkey) for the kids’ channel Minika GO.

Berry Bees, which premiered on Rai Gulp in Italy with an initial 26 episodes last December, recently launched the second half of the season (an additional 26 episodes) on the channel. The series is also available on the RAI digital platform Rai Play. Further, it has been on air on Australia’s Nine Network 9GO since last fall and rolled out on the Australian streaming service STAN earlier this year.

Berry Bees follows three talented 10-year-old girls—Bobby, Lola and Juliette—who have been selected by the B.I.A. (Bee Intelligence Agency) for special spy missions in which only child agents can be involved. When summoned to the rescue, Bobby, Lola and Juliette become mistresses of disguise, undercover agents, astute mentalists and martial arts experts who use berry-themed gadgets to save the day.

The series is produced by Atlantyca Entertainment, SLR Productions, Telegael and Cosmos-Maya Production. Atlantyca maintains the worldwide distribution rights, with Cosmos-Maya overseeing Asia, SLR Productions handling Australia and New Zealand and Telegael managing rights for Ireland and the U.K.

Alessandra Dematteis, Atlantyca Distribution manager, said: “We are thrilled with the response we are getting to this wonderfully adventurous series. This series celebrates the power of girls, the excitement of special operations filled with eye-catching animation a perfect entertainment combination for kids during these difficult times. So excited to share our Berry Bees with our new broadcast partners and their young audiences!”
