LONDON: CBeebies and BBC Worldwide have commissioned a sophomore season of the animated preschool series Go Jetters following the global success of the show’s first installment.

Go Jetters looks on as Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz travel the world with a disco-dancing unicorn named Ubercorn. The second season will comprise 50 new episodes and a 22-minute special. The show first began airing in October 2015 and has since sold to broadcasters in more than 90 territories, including ABC Kids in Australia, France Télévisions and Treehouse in Canada.

Go Jetters is a CBeebies and BBC Worldwide production in association with Boulder Media and Giant Animation. BBC Worldwide serves as international distributor of the series.

Henrietta Hurford-Jones, the director of children’s content and executive producer on the show, said: “Go Jetters is unique combining geography, action and comedy in strong character-led narrative. We’re thrilled that our audiences and partners across the world are passionate about our funky heroes too. [Season] two will see our intrepid team continue their journey of discovery around the globe as well as introduce us to the Go Jet Academy.”

Kay Benbow, controller for CBeebies, added: “Our audience loves traveling to far-off places in the company of the Go Jetters and I know they can’t wait to see what new adventures are in store during the next [season].”
