Another Season of Danger Mouse for CBBC

CBBC has ordered a 26×11-minute third season of the Danger Mouse reboot for broadcast next year.

The new Danger Mouse is co-produced by CBBC and FremantleMedia Kids and Family (FMK), which handles the show’s global TV and licensing rights. Tim Searle serves as executive producer for CBBC Productions, while Bob Higgins and Chapman Maddox are executive producers for FMK. The animated adventure comedy has been sold into more than 100 territories.

Rick Glankler, the president and general manager of FMK, commented: “I’m proud that Danger Mouse is now an award-winning series, as well as a huge hit with audiences all over the world. Collaborating with the immensely talented teams at the BBC and Boulder has created a global smash that’s already much loved and is going from strength to strength, and now there will be even more magnificent missions, dastardly plots and off-the-wall humor for our fans to enjoy.”

Cheryl Taylor, controller of CBBC, added: “Danger Mouse has quickly established himself as a channel-defining and much-loved hero for the CBBC audience and their parents. With even more daredevil adventures in the pipeline, he and Penfold are poised to keep on saving the world for a long time yet.”
