ACTF Sends Balloon Barnyard to Ireland

The Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) has licensed Balloon Barnyard to Ireland’s TG4, where a Gaelic version of the animated preschool show is due to debut later this year.

Balloon Barnyard follows the adventures of two donkeys on a farm. The Like a Photon Creative production was commissioned by Disney Junior in Australia and has already been picked up by a number of other broadcasters and platforms around the globe. It will begin airing on TG4 in December 2017.

Siobhan Ní Bhrádaigh, TG4’s editor for young people’s programs, commented: “We are delighted to have acquired Balloon Barnyard for our preschool schedule Cúla4 na nÓg. We are always on the lookout for fresh and unique creative content for our younger audiences and this series ticks all the boxes. We look forward to having the series in Gaelic on our channel.”
