Primeworks Studios Readies Ejen Ali the Movie

Primeworks Studios’ Ejen Ali the Movie, the first feature film from the animated franchise, is set for theatrical release in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

Ejen Ali the Movie, which was co-produced with Wau Animation, follows the titular 12-year-old, who after being accidentally recruited as a spy, has now grown to embrace his role in the secret Meta Advance Tactical Agency to protect the futuristic city of Cyberaya from outside threats. The movie is slated to hit theaters on November 28.

Running up to the film’s release, the first single from the original motion picture soundtrack, “Bukalah Matamu” by Aisyah Aziz and rapper Bunga, was released on September 20 on all major music streaming platforms. The video for the single was also released on YouTube and has racked up over 700,000 views to date. The second single, “Kita Jaga Kita” by hip-hop artist Altimet with Cuurley and Malik Abdullah, is being released today, Friday, October 25, on all major music streaming platforms. A video will also be launched on Ejen Ali’s YouTube channel at noon today.

Primeworks Studios and Wau Animation also announced multiple collaborations in line with the film’s release. A series of roadshows will also be announced soon for fans of Ejen Ali to meet the character mascots in person and to win exclusive movie merchandise.

The animated series has been broadcasted in over 50 countries, including on the regional networks Disney Asia, Nickelodeon India, MNCTV in Indonesia and AlMajeed TV in the Middle East and North Africa.
