Pocket.watch Partners with Bentex Group, Bonkers Toys

Pocket.watch has inked a master apparel agreement with The Bentex Group and a toy licensing deal with Bonkers Toys that will help build its creator partner YouTube brands into franchises.

The licensing partnerships will help expand YouTube brands such as Ryan ToysReview, EvanTubeHD, JillianTubeHD, HobbyKidsTV and Captain Sparklez. The Bentex Group will be charged with developing a clothing line featuring pocket.watch’s creator partners and original characters. Bonkers Toys will develop the first toy line for Ryan ToysReview.

The branded apparel will be promoted by pocket.watch creators within their videos and through their social media pages. The apparel line, which will be introduced to the market in time for the holiday season this year, will be featured by The Bentex Group in a flexible pocket.watch branded showroom in New York. The Ryan ToysReview line, which will debut during Toy Fair 2018, will feature blind bag collectibles and other packaged formats, including figures, vehicles, plush, compounds (slime) and other novelty collectibles. In addition to developing a toy line for Ryan ToysReview, Bonkers Toys will begin developing lines for other pocket.watch creators, including EvanTubeHD and HobbyKidsTV.

“Pocket.watch is quickly becoming a powerhouse in the kids’ entertainment industry,” said Stone Newman, the company’s chief revenue officer. “Over the past year, we’ve formed long-term partnerships with the biggest kids and family creators on YouTube, developed a slate of amazing premium series and now we’re extending our brand to toys and apparel with great partners like Bonkers Toys and The Bentex Group. This is only the beginning; we are in major talks with a variety of licensees and are confident that there is no category that won’t be successful with these powerhouse digital franchises.”

“From the moment we met with pocket.watch, we knew we needed to get involved,” added Morris Dweck, the CEO of The Bentex Group. “Pocket.watch’s vision of launching these already huge YouTube brands into the real world is a testament to adapting to an ever-changing market, which is a critical component in any retail strategy. We are excited to be working together to bring this next wave of kids’ apparel to the massive audiences that are already hungry for them.”

“Bonkers Toys is in tune with today’s generation of kids and how they are consuming media,” commented Brian Bonnett, the founder and CEO of Bonkers Toys. “We are beyond thrilled to be partnering with the most popular YouTuber in the world, Ryan ToysReview, and the team at pocket.watch to launch Ryan’s first toy line. We look forward to a continued partnership with pocket.watch and expansion into additional brands like EvanTubeHD and HobbyKidsTV.”
