Former Disney CFO Joins Silvergate Media

LONDON: Octonauts producer Silvergate Media has hired Jeff Farnath, a feature film and animation industry veteran, as the company’s new chief financial officer.

Farnath most recently served as CFO for Thrillist Media Group, a digital lifestyle brand targeted at male millennials. Earlier in his career, he held the same title at Walt Disney Studios Latin America, Classic Media and Laika Entertainment (formerly Vinton Studios), where he was also CEO.

Waheed Alli, the CEO of Silvergate Media, commented: “I am delighted that someone of Jeff’s caliber is joining us. His eminent experience in film and television production, international distribution, licensing, digital publishing and e-commerce will be invaluable.
