Counterfeit Cat to Air Worldwide on Disney XD & Disney Channel

TORONTO: Following its premiere on Disney XD in the U.K. and U.S., Tricon Kids & Family’s award-winning original animated comedy series Counterfeit Cat is due to roll out in additional territories on Disney XD and Disney Channel.

The U.K.-Canada co-production between Tricon and Wildseed Kids will air on Disney XD and Disney Channel in several territories, including France, Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and Latin America. Counterfeit Cat will debut in Canada on TELETOON later this year.

Counterfeit Cat made its world premiere in May on Disney XD in the U.K. and debuted in the U.S. on Disney XD and its multiple platforms, including the Disney XD app and VOD, in June. The series, which tells the story of an unconventional friendship between a lazy house cat and a naïve alien, was originally commissioned by Disney XD EMEA and Canada’s TELETOON. Tricon International handles global distribution and property-rights management for the series.
