9 Story Secures Deals for Wild Kratts in Oz

TORONTO: 9 Story Media Group has inked several deals for the animated series Wild Kratts in Australia, including a broadcast agreement with Channel Nine’s Go!

Wild Kratts will premiere on Go! on November 14, airing weekdays at 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Beginning November 21, it will also air on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. In addition, Roadshow Entertainment has picked up home video rights, and master toy licensee Wicked Cool Toys has appointed Hunter Products to distribute the toy line.

Wicked Cool Toys launched a broad toy offering at Toys “R” Us last year, while Random House Kids released the first Wild Kratts books in the U.S. and Canada as part of its Step Into Reading Program. Wild Kratts premiered on PBS Kids in the U.S. in 2011 and on TVO, Knowledge Network and Télé-Quebec in Canada. It is a co-production between Kratt Brothers Company and 9 Story Media Group, which also distributes the show internationally, outside of the U.S. and Canada. It is currently in its fourth season.
