BBC Studios has licensed STV Studios’ game-show format Bridge of Lies<\/em> to the Spanish public broadcaster Televisi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola\u2019s free-to-air La 1 channel.<\/p>\n

BOXFISH is producing the local version in Spain. TV presenter Paula V\u00e1zquez will front the Spanish treatment.<\/p>\n

Bridge of Lies sees<\/em> teams of contestants competing for cash by crossing a bridge made up of stepping stones across the studio floor. Each stepping stone has a different option, and the players must try to get from A to B by stepping on the truths and avoiding the lies or risk falling off the bridge and out of the game.<\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9 Renaud, senior VP of global format sales at BBC Studios, said: \u201cWe\u2019ve seen a growing interest in our catalog from Spanish-speaking markets recently, and this commission of Bridge of Lies<\/em> shows how a solid gameshow can travel. I\u2019m delighted to be working again with TVE, and I know that BOXFISH and Paula V\u00e1zquez will bring the same fun and tension of Bridge of Lies to Spanish audiences later this year.\u201d<\/p>\n
