Tokyo Broadcasting System Television (TBS) hosted an independent format pitch event, THE TALK OF TOKYO, at MIPTV today.<\/p>\n

During the event, TBS presented full details of three new formats for 2023.<\/p>\n

Kamiwaza: The Superhuman Skill Show<\/em> aired in May 2021 on TBS under the local title The Kamiwaza Challenge<\/em>, gaining the highest share among viewers in the 13-to-49 demo. Inspired by stunts found on social media, the producers create notoriously tricky challenges for a mixed group of celebrity and civilian contestants to complete on the show. Each 60-minute episode can be produced flexibly in terms of structure and timing but typically features three challenges that can be localized to the territory\u2019s audience.<\/p>\n

OUTSING the CHOIR!<\/em> began airing regularly in prime time on TBS as a segment of the popular program Banana Sand<\/em> and garnered a 35 percent increase in the ratings among males and females ages 13 to 49. The musical game show features two teams of contestants facing off in a singing showdown. Each contestant must sing their chosen song perfectly while not getting thrown off by the live, in-studio choir.<\/p>\n

The scripted format My Family<\/em> is currently streaming worldwide on Disney+. In the thriller, the lead character, Haruto, is a husband and father who lives a seemingly ideal life in a gorgeous suburban home with his beautiful wife and young daughter\u2014until everything gets turned upside down when his daughter is taken in a serial kidnapping. This is when Haruto and his wife are forced to reassess their priorities and choose whether or not to get the help of the police.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
