Paramount+ Canada has launched The Fashion Hero: A New Kind of Beautiful<\/em>, a new competition series hosted by former Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean.<\/p>\n

The show sees celebrity coaches representing brands such as Elizabeth Arden and Inglot build teams of four from 22 contestants. Along with special guest mentors, they guide the teams through emotional and character-building challenges designed to break down the traditional barriers set by the beauty industry and encourage regular people to be confident in who they are.<\/p>\n

The winner will become the face of an international brand campaign and take home exceptional prizes.<\/p>\n

The contestants come from all over the world, including Canada, Israel, Sweden, Uganda, Nigeria, China and more, and range in ages from 21 to 60. Special guest mentors include Canadian rock band Simple Plan, personal trainer to the stars Drew Manning, Janet Jackson\u2019s former choreographer Rene Elizondo, Canadian popstar Jordyn Sugar, former Drag Queen Lenny Williams and internationally recognized photographer Adi Barkan, whose photos appeared in Vogue<\/em>, Cosmopolitan<\/em> and Bazaar<\/em> and who has campaigned for legislation banning the use of anorexic models.<\/p>\n

The Fashion Hero: A New Kind of Beautiful<\/em> is produced by Beauty World Search and distributed worldwide by Indigo Entertainment.<\/p>\n
