The local version will be produced by Remarkable Entertainment (a Banijay UK company) and see contestants battle it out against the notorious Banker for a chance at winning a life-changing cash prize.<\/p>\n<p><em>Deal or No Deal<\/em> was first launched in 2002 in the Netherlands. It has been commissioned in over 80 territories worldwide with more than 350 productions.<\/p>\n<p>Mulhern said: \u201cWow, what an opportunity, I\u2019m beyond excited to be hosting the brand-new series. I\u2019ve always been such a huge fan of the show, so much so I\u2019ve been practicing at home with small cereal boxes! It looks so simple, but it&#8217;s an incredibly compelling game for both those playing and the viewers watching at home. It\u2019s one of the greatest shows of all time, and to be the new host is an honor! I can\u2019t wait to get started.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tamara Gilder, joint managing director for Remarkable Entertainment, said: \u201cWe are thrilled to be bringing <em>Deal or No Deal<\/em> back. It\u2019s an iconic format\u2014but now on a new channel with a new, fantastic host. We also have a new Banker, but I\u2019m afraid they\u2019re even more awful than the last one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning, added: \u201c<em>Deal or No Deal<\/em> is such an iconic format, and we are delighted that it will be joining the ITV family.
