{"id":9557,"date":"2023-03-02T08:53:07","date_gmt":"2023-03-02T13:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/john-hesling-head-fox-alternative-entertainment\/"},"modified":"2023-03-02T09:30:40","modified_gmt":"2023-03-02T14:30:40","slug":"john-hesling-to-head-fox-alternative-entertainment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/john-hesling-to-head-fox-alternative-entertainment\/","title":{"rendered":"John Hesling to Head FOX Alternative Entertainment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>John Hesling has been named executive VP, head of FOX Alternative Entertainment (FAE), FOX Entertainment\u2019s in-house unscripted studio.<\/p>\n<p>Hesling will be responsible for overseeing the development and production of all unscripted series owned by FOX Entertainment, as well as programs FAE produces for third-party buyers in the U.S. and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Current FOX series on the company\u2019s roster include <i>The Masked Singer<\/i>, <i>Next Level Chef<\/i> (in partnership with Studio Ramsay Global),\u00a0<i>I Can See Your Voice<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Crime Scene Kitchen<\/i> (with Fly on the Wall Entertainment),\u00a0<i>Alter Ego<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer<\/i>, <i>Domino Masters<\/i>\u00a0and <i>Name that Tune<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>FAE-produced programs for outside platforms include the dating competition <em>Love Trip: Paris<\/em> for Freeform and the variety series <em>The Big Deal<\/em> for Ireland\u2019s Virgin Media Television in partnership with Dublin-based BiggerStage.<\/p>\n<p>He reports to\u00a0Allison Wallach, president of unscripted programming for FOX Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so excited for John to join FAE and lead the incredible team we have assembled,\u201d said Wallach. \u201cHis creative vision and vast experience as both a producer and an executive working on a global scale will be key to our strategy of building FAE as a leading provider of innovative series and formats for FOX and third-party platforms throughout the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Added Hesling, \u201cGetting the chance to work with Allison and team at FOX is an amazing opportunity, and I can\u2019t wait to get started.
