Plimsoll Productions, part of ITV Studios, has appointed Magnify Media founder Andrea Jackson as creative director of factual entertainment.<\/p>\n
Jackson will develop, package and serve as executive producer across formats and factual content. She will transition from her role at Magnify Media, which was sold to Plimsoll in 2020 and will fully integrate to the ITV Studios distribution business in 2023.<\/p>\n
Jackson established Magnify Media in 2015 and built a curated catalog of content across all unscripted and scripted genres and formats to license to networks and streamers such as Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, SVT, TV2 Denmark, SBS Broadcasting, Nippon, BBC, France Television, TVNZ, Foxtel and more. Through the acquisition deal with Plimsoll, it continued to operate under Jackson as an independent business with amplified resources, infrastructure and content, boasting titles such as Malika: The Lion Queen<\/em> (FOX), My Unique B&B<\/em> (BBC One), The Women of 9\/11<\/em> (ABC), Marcus Wareing: Tales from the Kitchen Garden<\/em> (BBC), Handmade: Good with Wood<\/em> (Channel 4), Doctors vs Internet<\/em> (NRK), Love Raft<\/em> (DR), Fittest Family<\/em> (RT\u00c9) and Master Cleaners<\/em> (TV2 Denmark), among others.<\/p>\n Prior to founding Magnify Media, Jackson spent eight years as managing director of acquisitions and formats for DRG, which was sold to MTG. She worked on formats such as The Farm and The Bar<\/em>, 15 to 1<\/em>, Don\u2019t Tell the Bride<\/em> and Doc Martin<\/em>.
