{"id":9422,"date":"2022-12-13T09:58:18","date_gmt":"2022-12-13T14:58:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/netflix-goes-old-enough\/"},"modified":"2022-12-13T09:58:18","modified_gmt":"2022-12-13T14:58:18","slug":"netflix-goes-for-more-old-enough","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/netflix-goes-for-more-old-enough\/","title":{"rendered":"Netflix Goes for More Old Enough!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nippon TV has secured a worldwide deal with Netflix for a second season of the reality hit <em>Old Enough!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The ten additional episodes are set to stream globally to over 190 countries on Netflix beginning on January 1, 2023. Some episodes of season two will showcase a feature entitled \u201cAfter Years,\u201d which tells about the child who went on the errand and where they are today.<\/p>\n<p><em>Old Enough!<\/em> has been sold as a finished program to many Asian countries and is also seeing global success as an unscripted format with previous adaptations in Italy, the U.K., Vietnam, China and, most recently, a third season in Singapore and an ongoing option agreement in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>The format rights for international adaptations throughout the world are currently available from Nippon TV.<\/p>\n<p>Keisuke Miyata, head of finished sales, international business development, Nippon TV, commented, \u201cNippon TV has been airing <em>Old Enough!<\/em> for over 30 years, and we have always received tremendously positive feedback and great ratings. Each episode is unique, and viewers are attracted and hooked to see how a child\u2019s first errand turns out. While always ensuring the child\u2019s safety and working closely with the family, <em>Old Enough!<\/em> records a precious child who goes on an errand for the family for the first time, alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miyata continued, \u201cWhen Netflix first streamed <em>Old Enough!<\/em> in March of this year, we were certain that this best-kept secret of ours would be widely appreciated by the global audience, and we are so happy that it did; furthermore, it has led to international format sales of the beloved show as well. This season, we will be showcasing a special feature that was not included in season one. It is the \u2018After Years\u2019 of the child. Viewers have always reached out to us asking about how the child was doing after the episode aired. I am happy that Netflix viewers can now enjoy this wonderful segment as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Naomi Satoh, content acquisition manager at Netflix, commented, \u201cWe are thrilled that audiences around the world discovered <em>Old Enough<\/em>! on Netflix earlier this year.
