{"id":9321,"date":"2022-10-17T04:30:03","date_gmt":"2022-10-17T08:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/banijay-to-take-reality-series-the-hotel-global\/"},"modified":"2022-10-17T10:22:17","modified_gmt":"2022-10-17T14:22:17","slug":"banijay-to-take-reality-series-the-hotel-global","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/banijay-to-take-reality-series-the-hotel-global\/","title":{"rendered":"Banijay to Take Reality Series The Hotel Global"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Banijay has secured the global rights for the Argentinean reality competition series <em>The Hotel<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by Diego Guebel\u2019s BOXFISH for Canal 13 in Argentina, where it is known locally as <em>El Hotel<\/em>, the competition reality series sees 16 celebrity contestants isolate themselves for four months in a luxury hotel on the outskirts of a city\u2014but with one catch: the luxury establishment does not employ any staff.<\/p>\n<p>At the start of each week, celebrities are drawn to determine who will be the \u2018guests\u2019 and who will become the \u2018hotel staff.\u2019 At the end of the week, an elimination duel will decide who leaves the Hotel before the final winner takes home a huge cash prize.<\/p>\n<p>Banijay will represent the finished series and format globally (excluding Argentina, Spain and Brazil).<\/p>\n<p>Lucas Green, global head of content operations at Banijay, said: \u201c<em>The Hotel<\/em> is a colorful reality show featuring challenges with real jeopardy for celebrity contestants, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.
