The revival will see a\u00a0new cast of carefully selected housemates from all walks of life take up residence in the reality TV home for up to six weeks, with cameras capturing their every move and the nation following every twist and turn.<\/p>\n<p><em>Big Brother<\/em> is commissioned for ITVX and ITV2 by Paul Mortimer, director of reality commissioning and acquisitions and controller of ITV2, ITVBe and CITV, and Peter Tierney, commissioner. Its return to U.K. screens marks the first major Banijay format commission for Natalka Znak and Claire O\u2019Donohoe since joining the group earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Mortimer said: \u201cThis refreshed, contemporary new series of Big Brother will contain all the familiar format points that kept viewers engaged and entertained the first time round, but with a brand new look and some additional twists that speak to today\u2019s audience. We\u2019re beyond excited to bring this iconic series to ITV2.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Znak, CEO of Initial, Remarkable Entertainment and Znak TV, added: \u201c<em>Big Brother<\/em> is the original and best reality format and one that I have never made before, so it\u2019s a huge privilege to be making an all-new version with ITV2 and ITVX.\u00a0Working with Claire O&#8217;Donohoe and the talented team at Initial, Katy Manley and Cat Lynch.
