{"id":8931,"date":"2022-04-25T09:40:50","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T13:40:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/itv-studios-appoints-sales-director-global-entertainment\/"},"modified":"2022-04-25T09:40:50","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T13:40:50","slug":"itv-studios-appoints-sales-director-for-global-entertainment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/itv-studios-appoints-sales-director-for-global-entertainment\/","title":{"rendered":"ITV Studios Appoints Sales Director for Global Entertainment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ITV Studios has tapped Charlotte van Weede as sales director of its global entertainment business, overseeing the day-to-day running of the format sales division.<\/p>\n<p>Van Weede has oversight for the catalog of 285 unique formats, including hits such as <em>The Voice<\/em>, <em>Love Island<\/em>, <em>The Chase<\/em>, <em>I Am a Celebrity\u2026 Get Me Out of Here!<\/em> and <em>Come Dine With Me<\/em>, as well as recently launched shows such as <em>Rat in the Kitchen<\/em> and <em>My Mom Your Dad<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Taking up the post with immediate effect, van Weede reports to Arjan Pomper, managing director of global entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Van Weede recently ran her own media consultancy, in which she headed up film distribution for media content financier Anton Corp and consulted for the Netherlands Film Fund. Prior to this, she worked for Global Road Entertainment as president of international film sales, for eOne Features as senior VP of international sales and as head of sales for Protagonist Pictures.<\/p>\n<p>Pomper said: \u201cI am delighted that Charlotte is joining us. Charlotte brings substantial international sales experience to the team, and she will be a great addition to our organization. With her leading the sales team, we can further build relationships with existing and new partners and grow our licensing business in a rapidly changing media landscape.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Van Weede added: \u201cThe current developments in the unscripted format business\u2014and in particular, its growing demand for strong content that can entertain and move people\u2014offer terrific opportunities for leading content creators like ITV Studios.
