Set to commence production this month, the series will premiere on RTL 4 in May.<\/p>\n<p><em>The 1% Club<\/em> has previously been picked up in France by France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions and in Israel by Kan 11.<\/p>\n<p><em>The 1% Club<\/em> format tests intelligence in a scientific survey\u2014rather than what was learned at school or one\u2019s ability to memorize facts\u2014with a series of questions that often lead to entertaining answers. The format was created by Magnum Media, which will produce it for ITV. The series will debut in the U.K. this month.<\/p>\n<p>Andr\u00e9 Renaud, senior VP of global format sales at BBC Studios, said: \u201cIt\u2019s a testament to the format that, in a little over a year, <em>The 1% Club<\/em> has had three international versions confirmed before the original series has even hit screens in the U.K. It speaks volumes when a unique, family-oriented and highly entertaining format like this receives such prominence in a crowded formats market, and I\u2019m delighted that RTL Netherlands is the next broadcaster to commission a local series with the great team from Blue Circle.
