The game-show formats Moneyball<\/em> and Sitting on a Fortune<\/em>, both co-produced by ITV Studios labels Potato and Possession, have been renewed for second seasons at ITV.<\/p>\n

Hosted by football legend Ian Wright, Moneyball<\/em> sees the chance of winning life-changing money rest entirely on the roll of a ball. The show\u2019s second season will give teams of two contestants the chance to accumulate large sums of money by correctly answering a series of questions while keeping their nerve in the countdown to the \u201cmoneyball\u201d being played.<\/p>\n

Sitting on a Fortune<\/em>, hosted by footballer and broadcaster Gary Lineker, gives contestants the chance to win up to \u00a3100,000. Featuring six players, six chairs and no lifelines or exits, only the player in the money seat can answer questions, build the jackpot and have the opportunity to win the whole thing. One wrong answer sees that player relegated to the back of the line, as the next person moves up to take pole position.<\/p>\n

ITV Studios handles international distribution on both formats.<\/p>\n

Wright said: \u201cI loved filming the first series of Moneyball<\/em>. Our guests are winning and losing life-changing amounts of money, so every time I entered the studio, it was a real emotional roller coaster for me. I get really invested in every contestant\u2019s story about what they will do with the money, so to be back knowing we\u2019ll get a few more winners is great. More than anything, this show is pure entertainment, and we have a lot of fun making it, so I look forward to it being back on prime-time ITV.”<\/p>\n

Lineker said: “I am absolutely thrilled that Sitting on a Fortune<\/em> is back! It’s an incredibly exciting show to host with so much drama and tension right from the word go! I’m looking forward to bringing the thrill of the game to people’s screens again. With so much riding on every single question, there really is nothing else like it on TV.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katie Rawcliffe, head of ITV Entertainment commissioning, said: \u201cHaving both Ian and Gary return with their compelling gameshows is a real treat.\u201d<\/p>\n
