{"id":8800,"date":"2022-03-18T11:00:08","date_gmt":"2022-03-18T15:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/magilla-entertainment-partners-sugar23\/"},"modified":"2022-03-18T11:00:08","modified_gmt":"2022-03-18T15:00:08","slug":"magilla-entertainment-partners-with-sugar23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/magilla-entertainment-partners-with-sugar23\/","title":{"rendered":"Magilla Entertainment Partners with Sugar23"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Magilla Entertainment (<em>Moonshiners<\/em>, <em>Beach Front Bargain Hunt<\/em>) has teamed with Michael Sugar\u2019s Sugar23 (<em>Spotlight<\/em>, <em>Dickinson<\/em>, <em>13 Reasons Why<\/em>) to develop a slate of unscripted projects.<\/p>\n<p>Among the initial projects in development is the intergenerational dating social experiment <em>The Grand Date Experiment<\/em>, during which Millennials and Baby Boomers take control of each other\u2019s dating rituals.<\/p>\n<p>The slate of projects also includes a new cooking series and a prank competition show.<\/p>\n<p>David Hillman, head of alternative and unscripted, will spearhead the partnership for Sugar23, working alongside Magilla\u2019s Laura Palumbo Johnson and Matthew Ostrom, co-foudners, and Jason Fox, president.<\/p>\n<p>Hillman said, \u201cMatt, Laura and Jason are the best at what they do, and Sugar23 can\u2019t wait to collaborate with them to develop content that is fresh, entertaining and forward-thinking. Reality TV provides the fun escape that we all need, and we have found the perfect partners to make it with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ostrom added, \u201cSugar23 has been synonymous with quality content for some time, and we couldn\u2019t be more excited to help usher the brand into the unscripted realm.
