Produced by Initial (a Banijay UK company), the reality show pairs eight beauties with eight self-proclaimed geeks on a journey of self-discovery.<\/p>\n<p><em>Beauty and the Geek<\/em> is distributed internationally by Banijay. Originally created in 2005, it has been adapted in over 20 markets across Europe, Latin America and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>discovery+ will also be home to the new dating format and discovery+ original <em>Zodiac Island<\/em> (w\/t). Produced by Barefaced TV (part of STV Studios), the series will feature three leading astrologers who will carefully find matches for twelve cynical singletons. Living together during one lunar cycle on a sun-soaked Greek island, the series will test whether matching couples by their birth charts will lead to true love.<\/p>\n<p>Clare Laycock, senior VP of planning and insights, head of entertainment at Discovery UK, said: \u201c<em>Beauty and the Geek<\/em> has enjoyed huge international success and we are delighted to bring it back to the U.K. and give discovery+ viewers access to another hit reality show. We are excited to work with Matt Edmondson and Mollie King, a perfect fit for the show, who will put this year\u2019s couples through a series of tasks that challenge stereotypes, misconceptions and ask the ultimate question: do \u2018opposites\u2019 attract?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are also over the moon to confirm details on our brand-new dating format, <em>Zodiac Island<\/em> (w\/t).
