A sixth edition of Coming Next from France, organized by the TV division of UniFrance and Series Mania, is to take place as part of the Series Mania Forum, in Lille and online, on August 30.<\/p>\n

With a special focus this year on series formats, the event will offer distributors and producers the chance to present to market international adaptation rights for existing series as well as ambitious and innovative concepts.<\/p>\n

The five formats being presented are Diana Boss<\/em> by France tv distribution, Hashtag Boomer<\/em> by Balanga, 6.30 pm<\/em> by Lukarn, The Bureau<\/em> by Federation Entertainment and The Rope<\/em> by Wild Bunch TV.<\/p>\n

The event will be moderated by Fran\u00e7ois-Pier P\u00e9linard-Lambert of Le Film Fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n

Sarah Hemar, deputy managing director of UniFrance in charge of audiovisual and digital, said: \u201cFor about ten years, French series have enjoyed growing interest internationally and have been more and more recognized at festivals. While program sales are on the up, the commercialization of formats remains an opportunity with room for further development.<\/p>\n

\u201cHence our choice this year to showcase French projects for adaptation, with a selection of five formats ranging from the multi-award-winning The Bureau<\/em> (Federation Entertainment) to other promising new concepts. We are presenting Hashtag Boomer<\/em> (Balanga), a dramedy examining modern intergenerational relationships; Diana Boss<\/em> (France tv distribution), for its feminism, eloquence and self-realization; 6.30 pm<\/em> (Lukarn), which takes a delicate look at our emotions, falling between romantic comedy and drama in a short format; and The Rope<\/em> (Wild Bunch TV) for its suspense and fantasy.
