The new localized series will air later this year, hosted by singer Anatoliy Tsoy.<\/p>\n<p>Filming for the 8&#215;48-minute series will take place in Tula, known in Russia as a &#8220;hero city.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Timur Weinstein, general producer of NTV Broadcasting Company, said, \u201cWe have extensive experience in adapting international formats, and now it\u2019s the time for cult classic <em>Fear Factor<\/em> to broadcast on our channel once again. More than 15 years have passed since the original series aired on NTV, and we are excited that our viewers will experience the show and the new surprises we have in store.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yulia Sumacheva, managing director of WeiT Media, said, \u201c<em>Fear Factor<\/em> is one of the most talked-about shows on Russian television, and it\u2019s great to be bringing this exciting format to the next generation of viewers. Filmed in a brilliant location, this reboot features a fantastic lineup of Russian celebrities as they tackle their fears head-on in new challenges, which are bigger and better than ever before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lucas Green, global head of content operations at Banijay, added, \u201cThis is one of Banijay\u2019s most iconic formats, with celebrities working together to confront fears in extraordinary ways.
