It marks BBC Studios Germany&#8217;s first commission since launching in the territory this year.<\/p>\n<p>A BBC production that is written by and starring British comedian Miranda Hart, <em>Miranda<\/em> will be adapted for the German market with the working title <em>Ruby<\/em> and will be directed by Natascha Beller. The screenplay is being adapted by Giulia Becker and Anika Soisson. Anna B\u00f6ger has been cast in the lead role.<\/p>\n<p>Filming is currently taking place in Cologne and the broadcast dates for ZDFneo and to be featured in the ZDFmediathek have yet to be set.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the second international version of <em>Miranda<\/em>, following a U.S. adaptation for FOX under the title <em>Call Me Kat<\/em>, which has been renewed for a second season.<\/p>\n<p>Philipp Schmid, managing director of BBC Studios Germany, said, \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to be able to announce BBC Studios Germany\u2019s first commission since formally launching in January. BBC Studios scripted format for Miranda Hart\u2019s <em>Miranda<\/em> is so warm, funny and timeless that we wanted to make a German version from the day we launched our new business here.
