{"id":8226,"date":"2021-05-26T10:16:38","date_gmt":"2021-05-26T14:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/vis-distribution-takes-make-break-sweden\/"},"modified":"2021-05-26T11:14:40","modified_gmt":"2021-05-26T15:14:40","slug":"vis-distribution-takes-make-or-break-to-sweden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/vis-distribution-takes-make-or-break-to-sweden\/","title":{"rendered":"VIS Distribution Takes Make or Break to Sweden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) Distribution has inked a format sale with SVT in Sweden for <em>Make or Break<\/em>, marking the first time one of its reality formats has been commissioned by a public broadcaster in the Nordic region.<\/p>\n<p>Following an option deal struck with the Banijay company Mastiff, the Swedish version of <em>Make or Break<\/em>, titled <em>Vi eller Aldrig<\/em>, will broadcast on SVT Play starting July 13. Following SVT\u2019s pickup of the format, Banijay has also optioned <em>Make or Break<\/em> across the rest of the Nordics and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>Created and produced by VIS, <em>Make or Break<\/em> first launched on Channel 5 in the U.K. in 2017. The format sends eight young couples, each at a crossroads in their relationship, on a tropical paradise retreat. Throughout their stay at the retreat, the couples take part in workshops, challenges and sex therapy sessions designed to give them a deeper knowledge of themselves and each other to decide if they should commit long-term or break up.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Burrell, VP of international formats at ViacomCBS International Studios Distribution, said: \u201cOur first-time sale of a reality format to a public broadcast partner in the Nordics is a testament to the strength and versatility of our format portfolio.
