The classic game show Blankety Blank<\/em> is returning to Saturday nights on BBC One, once again to be presented by Bradley Walsh.<\/p>\n

Blankety Blank<\/em>‘s return for a 10×35-minute season follows the Christmas special that aired in 2020. The comedy game show originally ran from 1979 to 1990.<\/p>\n

The format sees celebrities helping contestants by filling in the missing blanks. Last year\u2019s Christmas special celebrity panel included Jimmy Carr, Danny Jones, Emilia Fox, Anita Rani, Sue Perkins and Amir Khan.<\/p>\n

The show is made by Thames.<\/p>\n

Walsh said: \u201cI struggle to remember the last time I laughed as much as when I was filming Blankety Blank<\/em>\u2014so when they asked if I\u2019d be up for doing a series, I jumped at the chance, I\u2019m just so pleased I get to be a part of it. I stand on the shoulders of giants like Les Dawson and Sir Terry Wogan but I\u2019m hoping to put my own stamp on the fantastically nostalgic show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kate Phillips, director of entertainment at the BBC, said: \u201cBlankety Blank<\/em> has it all\u2014ridiculous questions, unpredictable celebrities, bizarre prizes and, in Bradley a very funny and much-loved host. I can\u2019t wait for everyone to watch and start filling in those blanks!\u201d<\/p>\n

Amelia Brown, managing director of Thames, said: \u201cTo be able to team this legendary format with the legend that is Bradley Walsh in a series, is so exciting and a match made in heaven.
