{"id":7984,"date":"2020-12-09T11:04:27","date_gmt":"2020-12-09T16:04:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/media-ranch-grows-development-sales-team\/"},"modified":"2020-12-09T11:25:24","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T16:25:24","slug":"media-ranch-grows-development-sales-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/media-ranch-grows-development-sales-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Media Ranch Grows Development &amp; Sales Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Media Ranch has tapped David Schiff to serve as a creative consultant for the European development of <em>Honey in the Box<\/em> and filled sales roles for the CEE and CIS territory and French Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The paper format <em>Honey in the Box<\/em>, a Media Ranch HorsePower initiative, is part of the company\u2019s recently announced exchange with South Korea\u2019s FormatEast. Over the course of his 20-year entertainment production career, Schiff has developed, bought, sold, created, produced and oversaw more than 1,200 hours of broadcast television. In 2019, he headed up an internal game\/format think tank at Fox Networks Group and previously served as senior VP of programming and development at Game Show Network.<\/p>\n<p>Malgorzata Gudel was hired on as a sales consultant, representing all Media Ranch formats for the CEE and CIS territories.\u00a0Gudel started her career at TVP and TV Puls in the programming and acquisition department in Poland. She\u2019s also served as VP of sales in EMEA at The Story Lab and worked at the international sales team of Lagard\u00e8re Studios in Paris, covering CEE &amp; Russia, Italy and Germany. She will report to Tanja van der Goes, senior VP of distribution at Media Ranch, who heads the European operations of the award-winning format production and distribution company<\/p>\n<p>Alexa Jorizzo, meanwhile, has been promoted in Montreal to head of sales for French Canada. Jorizzo will report directly to Media Ranch President Sophia Ferron. Maintaining her role as Media Ranch\u2019s \u201cDevelopment Ninja,\u201d managing all aspects of creative development, she will also continue to report to Philip Kalin-Hajdu, head of content for the company.<\/p>\n<p>Van der Goes said: \u201cDavid Schiff was a valued mentor to our Horsepower participants and we are excited to bring him on to develop <em>Honey in the Box<\/em> in Europe. This is the first deal from our FormatEast exchange. We hope to get the show into production next year. We are also very pleased to bring Malgorzata Gudel to our sales team. Her vast experience and connections in the CEE and CIS territories will take Media Ranch to the next level there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schiff said: \u201cMedia Ranch knows how to bring dynamic new formats to life and I am pleased to help develop <em>Honey in the Box<\/em> with Tanja, Sophie and the team.
