WarnerMedia has given a series order for a U.S. version of the British game show The Cube<\/em>, to be executive produced and hosted by NBA legend Dwyane Wade.<\/p>\n

The show features pairs of contestants who must demonstrate skill, nerve and determination by braving\u00a0The Cube, where they\u00a0attempt seemingly simple physical tasks within the nerve-wracking confines of a glass box in the hope of winning a major cash prize. Working against the clock, each pair has nine lives to complete seven games, each worth an increasing amount of money, as they move closer to the jackpot. The 10×60-minute series is slated to premiere next year.<\/p>\n

The updated series will introduce a \u201chelping-hand\u201d component, a call-to-action for Wade\u00a0to enter The Cube and lend his athletic prowess and compete on behalf of the contestant. Additionally, the series will feature the latest augmented GFX and camera technology.<\/p>\n

Based on the British format,\u00a0The Cube<\/i>\u00a0is made by Objective Media Group America, an\u00a0All3Media America\u00a0company. The series is executive produced by Wade and his production company,\u00a059th & Prairie Entertainment, as well as\u00a0Layla Smith\u00a0and\u00a0Jilly Pearce\u00a0for Objective Media Group.<\/p>\n

Dwyane is a legend who sets the standard on and off the court, and now Americans will have the once in a lifetime chance to compete with him by their side.\u201d<\/p>\n
