Based on the worldwide format, the show sees the wife in two opposing families switch places for a week. Each family will have to adapt to the rules and expectations of their \u201cnew\u201d mother, bringing into question their habits, beliefs and status quo. Each episode culminates with the spouses coming together to discuss the social experiment and reflect on what they have learned.<\/p>\n<p>The remake is the first since it was confirmed <em>Wife Swap<\/em> will return for a second season on Paramount Network in the U.S. and marks the 29th local remake distributed by Banijay Rights.<\/p>\n<p>Gala Barrero, director of the project, said, \u201cThe success of this show is that it re-creates conflicts and real personal situations that could be common to any family anywhere in the world and that the viewers can identify with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Amparo Castellano, head of non-scripted for DLO\/Magnolia, said: \u201cIt\u2019s fantastic to be bringing this renowned global format to Spanish audiences.
