{"id":7379,"date":"2019-11-13T10:50:15","date_gmt":"2019-11-13T15:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/magnify-media-sends-test-drive-italy\/"},"modified":"2019-11-13T10:51:53","modified_gmt":"2019-11-13T15:51:53","slug":"magnify-media-sends-test-drive-to-italy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/magnify-media-sends-test-drive-to-italy\/","title":{"rendered":"Magnify Media Sends Test Drive to Italy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.K.-based Magnify Media has closed its first format sale for BBC Scotland\u2019s <em>Test Drive<\/em>,\u00a0delivering it to RTI Mediaset in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian adaptation of the Bandicoot original car-based game-show format is to be named <em>NCC\u2014Navigazione Con Conduttore<\/em>. Under the license agreement with Endemol Shine\u2019s production company YAM 112003, RTI Mediaset will air an 8&#215;30-minute version of the show in January 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The original <em>Test Drive<\/em> premiered in February on BBC Scotland, with the second season currently airing on BBC One Scotland. Produced by Argonon-backed Bandicoot, the series is fronted by Scottish wrestler Grado. It\u00a0sees three teams of two head out on a road trip through Scotland to a mystery destination. Along the way, the teams must answer questions via a specially adapted satnav, correct answers directing them to a well-known tourist attraction via the shortest route and wrong answers adding miles to their trip. The winners are the team with the lowest mileage on the clock.<\/p>\n<p>Andrea Jackson, CEO of Magnify Media, said: \u201c<em>Test Drive<\/em> is a fresh and funny take on the game-show format\u2014and it\u2019s also the perfect show for any country that has great landscapes to share, which is true of both Scotland and Italy. I\u2019m optimistic that <em>NCC\u2014Navigazione con Conduttore<\/em> will be the first of many local versions on<em> Test Drive<\/em>\u2019s road trip to success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bandicoot co-founders\u00a0Derek McLean\u00a0and Daniel Nettleton\u00a0added: &#8220;We are very proud that our distinctively Scottish format has made its first international road trip to Italy.
