Love Island<\/em>\u00a0is set to be adapted for local audiences in France as an Amazon Original.<\/p>\n

Produced by ITV Studios France for Amazon Studios, the adaptation of the interactive dating series is coming exclusively to Prime Video in France in 2020. The French Love Island<\/em> will have episodes released to stream daily, available at no additional cost to a Prime membership.<\/p>\n

This year, ITV2 aired its fifth season of Love Island<\/em> and announced that it will show two seasons in 2020. The format, which is returning to the U.S. this year, has also launched in Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Hungary. It has run for three seasons in Germany, two in Australia and Finland and has also been commissioned in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and New Zealand. Love Island<\/em> is distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Georgia Brown, director of European Amazon Original Series for Amazon Studios, said: \u201cLove Island<\/em> has been an incredible success around the world and since 2015 in the U.K., so we\u2019re incredibly excited to be able to bring the show exclusively to Prime members in France on Prime Video next year. The show is incredibly ambitious with episodes filmed, edited and delivered to customers on a daily basis so that they can be part of influencing the drama in real-time, by voting on who should stay and who should leave the villa through the Love Island<\/em> app. Around the world this is the most talked-about show on TV right now, so we\u2019re thrilled to be working with ITV Studios France to bring the highest quality version of this hit show to Prime members in France very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
