The fifth season of the original <em>The<\/em>\u00a0<em>Voice<\/em>\u00a0will be broadcast in the fourth quarter of this year. All versions will be locally produced by Talpa Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>In this spin-off of <em>The Voice<\/em>, it is the turn of the seniors to prove that you are never too old to shine. Four celebrity coaches will compete to pick their favorite seniors in the blind auditions. In the knockout rounds, each coach will select their two best seniors to take to the finals, and the series culminates in the crowning of a winner in the final episode. Second seasons of the show in the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Spain and Germany have recently been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Maarten Meijs, COO of Talpa Media, said: &#8220;We are very happy with our close partnership with MBC. Bringing <em>The Voice Senior<\/em> to MBC will extend this creative relationship to a new level. Audiences fall in love as soon as they get to know the inspiring singing seniors in this spin-off. It\u2019s truly a family show that appeals to every generation. That is rare in today\u2019s media landscape.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ali Jaber, group TV director of MBC Group, said: \u201cMBC Group is thrilled to complete <em>The Voice<\/em> family by obtaining the rights for <em>The Voice Senior<\/em>. Through this trilogy\u2014consisting of <em>The Voice<\/em>, <em>The Voice Kids<\/em> and now <em>The Voice Senior<\/em>\u2014we are fulfilling our corporate vision of promoting talent throughout the Arab world no matter the gender, background or age.
