They must beat the games in many rooms, all while facing conditions such as \u201cdo not breathe,\u201d \u201cdo not slip,\u201d \u201cdo not fly off\u201d and more. The format was created to open up \u201ca new era for entertainment\/studio game shows across a multitude of platforms,\u201d says Atsushi Sogo, president of international business development at Nippon TV. \u201cWe get many inquiries asking for \u2018crazy\u2019 Japanese game shows, and we collaborated with Red Arrow Studios\u2019 fantastic team of format experts to create a modern but still extremely funny and action-packed program. <em>Beat the Rooms<\/em> has smashed its time slot in Japan, and posts on [social media] were filled with comments, laughing and enjoying the fun show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Beat the Rooms<\/em> has been commissioned straight-to-series for Nippon TV\u2019s main channel in Japan. \u201c<em>Beat the Rooms<\/em> is a creation of East meets West,\u201d says Tom Miyauchi, who oversees format sales and international business development at Nippon TV. It features hallmarks from \u201ccrazy Japanese game shows\u201d along with the \u201cwell-structured mechanics of Western game shows,\u201d he explains. \u201cIt is a fast-paced game show, which can be easily re-created as a short-form online series on various platforms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miyauchi adds, \u201cWe are confident that this is the game show that everyone was waiting for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nippon TV is also highlighting the scripted format <em>Weakest Beast<\/em>, directed by Nobuo Mizuta, whose other credits include <em>Mother<\/em>, <em>Woman-My Life for My Children-<\/em> and <em>anone<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nippon TV aligned with Red Arrow Studios International for Beat the Rooms, which will be a key focus for MIPTV sales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":6876,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pmpro_default_level":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[69],"tags":[314],"class_list":["post-6875","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","","category-top-stories","tag-nippon-tv","pmpro-has-access"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
