{"id":6759,"date":"2019-02-26T09:59:10","date_gmt":"2019-02-26T14:59:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/endemol-shine-signs-vivendis-secret-song\/"},"modified":"2019-02-26T09:59:10","modified_gmt":"2019-02-26T14:59:10","slug":"endemol-shine-signs-up-for-vivendis-the-secret-song","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/endemol-shine-signs-up-for-vivendis-the-secret-song\/","title":{"rendered":"Endemol Shine Signs Up for Vivendi&#8217;s The Secret Song"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vivendi Entertainment has closed development deals with Endemol Shine Group for the shiny-floor format <em>The Secret Song<\/em> in Italy, Spain and Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>Vivendi Entertainment has taken on distribution for the French format from producer DMLSTV. <em>The Secret Song<\/em>, which recently debuted in France on TF1, watches as popular celebrities\u2014singers, TV hosts, comedians, athletes, etc.\u2014are seated in the middle of a stage on a special chair to watch other artists, friends or family surprise them with a new take of one of their own favorite songs.<\/p>\n<p>Matthieu Porte, executive VP of international and development at Vivendi Entertainment, said: \u201cWe are so excited to collaborate with DMLSTV to make <em>The Secret Song<\/em>\u00a0a global format like we\u2019ve done with <em>Guess My Age<\/em>\u00a0or <em>Facing the Classroom<\/em>. Leading broadcasters are all looking for the next shiny-floor show that will gather the whole family in front of their screen. <em>The Secret Song<\/em>\u00a0has this very rare potential.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arnaud Renard, executive VP of creative affairs at Vivendi Entertainment, said: \u201cThe show\u2019s concept is so simple, efficient and catchy. It can be easily adapted to each broadcaster\u2019s specific needs, generating a lot of buzz with spectacular and moving performances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Orsetta Balsamo, head of format acquisitions and international at Endemol Shine Italy, commented: \u201c<em>The Secret Song<\/em>\u00a0is the shiny-floor, feel-good entertainment show we were looking for given the great appetite for studio-based shows in Italy. After our adaptation of <em>Facing the Classroom<\/em>, we\u2019re glad to partner up again with Vivendi Entertainment on another successful French format which we believe perfectly fits our main generalist, free- to-air broadcasters\u2019 needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matthieu Vergne, managing director at DMLSTV, added: \u201cWe are really proud to have created such a strong show. We feel that the emotion it gave to both the participating celebrities and the viewers will perfectly translate to other cultures and networks.
