To be known locally as <em>Troca de Esposas<\/em>, the 11&#215;80-minute series will air weekly in a prime-time slot.<\/p>\n<p>Further local adaptations are already underway with Banijay Group\u2019s Screentime Australia, for an 8&#215;90-minute series to air on Australia\u2019s Seven in 2019; Banijay Studios North America, producing a 10&#215;1-hour version in the U.S.; and Banijay Finland, for a new show to air on AVA (MTV3) in late 2019. Banijay Rights will manage global sales of the finished series from English-speaking territories Australia and the U.S.<\/p>\n<p><em>Wife Swap<\/em> is an award-winning reality series that invites two households to swap wives for two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Elliott Chalkley, VP of sales at Banijay Rights, commented, \u201cThe deal with TV Record in Latin America acts as a major format commission for <em>Wife Swap<\/em>, one of the most iconic entertainment formats in the market. The show\u2019s continuing success on the global stage\u2014and growing portfolio of international versions, including Brazil\u2014is driven by its simple yet highly adaptable premise and real-life setting. The series always guarantees drama-packed prime-time entertainment, but also offers a unique opportunity to explore how we live\u2014discovering whether these families, from different walks of life, can embrace and learn from their differences and find common ground.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marcelo Silva, programming VP of Record TV, said, \u201cRecord TV is always looking for fresh reality show formats to surprise our viewers. We truly believe that <em>Wife Swap<\/em> meets what we are looking for as it creates an unusual situation of changing the wives between two completely different families. The challenge of living together in the confinement of a reality show draws the attention of the Brazilian audience, especially the young people and those who are very connected to social networks.
