The program aims to boost the creation of original, exportable TV formats by nurturing local talent in Quebec and creating new local expertise.<\/p>\n<p>Horsepower, running from January to June 2019, will support between six to eight participants. Shortlisted candidates will benefit from ongoing development, editorial support and mentorship with Sophie Ferron, Media Ranch\u2019s president.<\/p>\n<p>The winning project will receive an investment from Quebecor Content to produce a proof of concept episode. The format will be produced and distributed by Media Ranch.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are very pleased with this partnership, which is perfectly in line with Quebecor Content&#8217;s mission to develop and showcase the talent of local creators, both locally and internationally,&#8221; said Yann Paquet, VP of Quebecor Content.<\/p>\n<p>Ferron said: \u201cThis is a fantastic opportunity for budding local creatives to get discovered.
