TV Asahi has landed a deal for the Japanese format The Weather Girl Knows<\/em>, which follows an oddball weather girl, who\u2019s also a brilliant climatologist, paired with a rookie detective to investigate mysteries.<\/p>\n

Shaftesbury, in partnership with WexWorks Media, has acquired the rights to The Weather Girl Knows<\/em>. The procedural features weather as the key to unlocking puzzling crimes.<\/p>\n

Yuka Kakui, the head of format development and sales at TV Asahi, said: \u201cWe are excited to have the opportunity to work with Shaftesbury and WexWorks Media on bringing The Weather Girl Knows<\/em> to the worldwide audience. The script is unique yet universal and is bound to capture the hearts and imaginations of the global audience.\u201d<\/p>\n
