The national broadcaster snapped up 60 scripts for adaptation by producer Bowen DDRio. The format is due to debut in the country later this year.<\/p>\n<p><em>Families at the Crossroads<\/em> looks at what happens when close emotional bonds are broken. The show was originally commissioned by RTL Germany, and has been adapted in a number of territories throughout Central and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Janel Downing, the VP for Latin American sales at all3media international, commented: \u201cConstructed reality, a genre which Filmpool has championed under our scripted-reality banner, has proved to be a standout success across the CEE region, so we\u2019re delighted to see this now extend to Latin America. The genre\u2019s specialized style of writing and production delivers heightened emotions and dramatic turning points that viewers can really relate to and\u2014whether airing in prime time, access prime or daytime\u2014series such as <em>Families at the Crossroads<\/em> have fantastic potential to become long-running, ratings-winning hits on any schedule. We know <em>Families at the Crossroads<\/em> is in expert hands with the excellent team at Bowen DDRio and TVN, and look forward to seeing their adaptation debut later this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pablo D\u00edaz del R\u00edo of Bowen DDRio noted: \u201cBeing the production company that will debut the constructed-reality genre in Latin America is a great honor for Bowen DDRio. We have vigorously pursued this goal since we first saw the <em>Families at the Crossroads<\/em> format because we are convinced of its enormous potential.
