{"id":5904,"date":"2017-10-13T01:00:43","date_gmt":"2017-10-13T05:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2017-10-13T12:17:39","modified_gmt":"2017-10-13T16:17:39","slug":"hollywood-game-night-bolsters-asian-presence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/hollywood-game-night-bolsters-asian-presence\/","title":{"rendered":"Hollywood Game Night Bolsters Asian Presence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NBCUniversal International Formats has revealed that <em>Hollywood Game Night<\/em> is being adapted in Vietnam, with a new broadcaster also on board in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p>Partnering with Mega GS Entertainment &amp; Communication, the Vietnamese version of <em>Hollywood Game Night<\/em> (<em>HGN<\/em>) will premiere on terrestrial network VTV3 next year. In Thailand, the show is returning for its third season with a new look on Channel 3.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hollywood Game Show<\/em> sees two non-famous individuals compete in various challenges alongside celebrities for the chance to win a cash prize. The series was created by actor\/producer Sean Hayes and producer Todd Milliner. The Emmy-winning U.S. version, hosted by Jane Lynch, debuted on NBC in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Ana Langenberg, the senior VP of format sales and production at NBCUniversal International Formats, said: \u201cIt is great to see <em>HGN<\/em> increase its reach internationally, particularly in Asia, where game-show and shiny floor formats are at the heart of TV consumption. Working closely with our local partners, we are confident both territories will produce high-quality local versions that will be sure to engage and entertain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vu Thi Bich Lien, Mega GS Entertainment &amp; Communication\u2019s CEO and chairwoman, noted: \u201cMega GS Entertainment &amp; Communication is proud to be in business with NBCU in order to bring <em>HGN<\/em> to Vietnam in 2018. It is amazing that after only three years since premiering on NBC, <em>HGN<\/em> has become one of the fastest-growing international formats of its time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Willie McIntosh, host of<em> Hollywood Game Night Thailand<\/em>, added: &#8220;I am very happy that the hit show\u00a0<em>HGN Thailand<\/em>\u00a0will be airing on Channel 3 in prime time.
