{"id":5690,"date":"2017-07-05T13:25:08","date_gmt":"2017-07-05T17:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/mtv-super-shore-heads-to-italy-for-season-three\/"},"modified":"2017-07-05T15:10:01","modified_gmt":"2017-07-05T19:10:01","slug":"mtv-super-shore-season-three-film-italy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/mtv-super-shore-season-three-film-italy\/","title":{"rendered":"MTV Super Shore Season Three to Film in Italy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>MTV Super Shore<\/em> is returning for a third season that will be filmed in Italy for the first time in the show\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>The international co-production between MTV\u2019s Latin America and Southern and Western Europe, Africa and the Middle East business units will begin production on its third season, <em>MTV Super Shore: All\u2019Italiana<\/em>, this weekend in Rimini, Italy. The show will air on MTV channels across 26 countries in Latin America, including Mexico and Brazil. It will also air across six European markets, including Italy, France and Spain this fall.<\/p>\n<p><em>MTV Super Shore<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>is the fifth international edition of MTV\u2019s <em>Shores<\/em> franchise, joining <em>Geordie Shore<\/em> (U.K.), <em>Warsaw Shore<\/em> (Poland), <em>Gand\u00eda Shore<\/em> (Spain), <em>Acapulco Shore<\/em> (Mexico) and the original <em>Jersey Shore<\/em> (U.S.). <em>MTV Super Shore<\/em> season three will be produced by Spanish production company\u00a0La Competencia and will feature an international cast.<\/p>\n<p>Pete Flamman, the senior VP for MTV Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa, said,\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m delighted to announce that <em>Super Shore<\/em> will be back for a third season and that we are producing it for the first time in Italy. The new location and our diverse multi-national cast once again reinforces the glocal appeal of the show. We are especially happy to be working with the city of Rimini, who are fantastic partners and the perfect hosts for this ultimate party, this time with an Italian twist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tiago Worcman, the senior VP and brand manager for MTV Latin America and Brazil, commented, \u201cWith its larger-than-life characters and highly relatable stories about friendship, <em>MTV Super Shore<\/em> has proven MTV\u2019s ability to deliver compelling content that engages young audiences and breaks barriers across the world. We\u2019re excited to confirm that this third season, the idyllic Italian destination of Rimini is just the beginning of many surprises and jaw-dropping moments that will sure help make this installment another multi-territory and multiplatform success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Andrea Gnassi, the mayor of Rimini, added, \u201cWe are very pleased to officially announce that Rimini has been chosen as the city to set the new season of <em>MTV Super Shore<\/em>.
