{"id":5458,"date":"2017-03-22T10:26:08","date_gmt":"2017-03-22T14:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/bbc-worldwide-lines-up-format-highlights-for-miptv\/"},"modified":"2017-03-22T12:05:48","modified_gmt":"2017-03-22T16:05:48","slug":"bbc-worldwide-lines-up-format-highlights-for-miptv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvformats\/bbc-worldwide-lines-up-format-highlights-for-miptv\/","title":{"rendered":"BBC Worldwide Lines Up Format Highlights for MIPTV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LONDON: The BBC One prime-time entertainment show <em>Let\u2019s Sing and Dance<\/em> is being offered as a format by BBC Worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour favorite stars will not only put on their dancing shoes, they\u2019ll also be grabbing the microphone for a night of laughter, comedy and amazing performances,\u201d says Suzanne Kendrick, the company\u2019s head of global format sales.<\/p>\n<p>BBC Worldwide brings <em>Let It Shine<\/em> to MIPTV following the show\u2019s successful launch on BBC One in January. \u201cThis talent search demands it all\u2014singing, dancing, performance to the highest level and chemistry as a group\u2014as<em> Let It Shine<\/em> seeks to create the country\u2019s best new band,\u201d\u00a0Kendrick says.<\/p>\n<p>An exclusive BBC Worldwide event in Cannes will see Take That frontman and songwriter Gary Barlow give a special performance to celebrate the international launch of <em>Let It Shine<\/em>. Sumi Connock, creative director of formats at BBC Worldwide, said, \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have Gary Barlow with us to celebrate the success of <em>Let It Shine<\/em> and to help launch this primetime format around the world. The response to our new format slate was incredibly positive at BBC Worldwide\u2019s Showcase event in February, and we\u2019re looking forward to building on this at MIPTV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also the quiz show <em>!mpossible<\/em>, which has been commissioned for a second season by BBC One. The game features right answers, wrong answers and impossible answers.<\/p>\n<p>Further highlights include<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><em>Tribal Bootcamp<\/em>, which\u00a0plunging two comedians into the world\u2019s strongest, fittest and toughest tribes; the daytime quiz show <em>The Boss<\/em>, which\u00a0combines tactics, strategy and scheming with laugh-out-loud moments; and the life-swap series <em>Living as You: My Global Adventure<\/em>, which takes people who have reached a crossroads in their lives and drops them into a brand-new life hundreds of miles from home. There&#8217;s also the fixed-rig format\u00a0<em>In Your Ear<\/em>, which sees contributors receive help from a diverse group of global advisors via a secret earpiece, during a life-changing event.
