The youngsters are challenged with culinary assignments, and each week the lowest-scoring apprentices have a chance to redeem themselves in a play-off challenge. The format will air on TVA in Canada starting in October. The series has already been commissioned for a second season.<\/p>\n<p>Andr\u00e9 Provencher, the VP of creation and international development at Quebecor Content, said, \u201c<em>Born to Be a Chef<\/em> emerged from the Quebecor Content creation team to reflect, purely and simply, the TVA network\u2019s DNA profile. We are very proud to share it now with broadcasters and producers around the world through our strategic partnership with Armoza Formats.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, commented, \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be launching <em>Born to Be a Chef<\/em> and to be bringing this competition to the international market.
